Annual Football Tournament 2020

The Middleton Rangers football tournament for 2020 will be played on Saturday 13th June and Sunday 14th June.

Closing date for application is Friday 15th May.

Rules

All players must be registered at the start of the tournament on the registration form provided. Failure to adhere to this could lead to your team being disqualified from the tournament.

  • Under 7 & 8 – 5-a-side – Max 10 Players
  • Under 9 & 10 – 7-a-side – Max 10 Players
  • Under 11 – 9-a-side – Max 14 Players
  • Under 12, 13 & 14 – 11-a-side – Max 16 Players

 

All players must be able to prove their identity (Photo ID). Failure to provide identity may lead to the team or player being disqualified.

No Academy players are allowed as advised by Durham FA – any team found to be fielding an academy player, will be disqualified from the event at whatever stage.

Any team found guilty of fielding over age players will be disqualified from the competition at whatever stage.

League games – 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw & 0 for a loss.

There will be no off-sides for U7 – U10.  U11 – U14 offside rule applies as per FA Rules. Corners and throw-ins shall be taken as normal. At goal kicks the opposition MUST retreat to the half-way line       U7-U10. U11 and above no retreat rule. Quick goal kicks can be taken before retreat at goalkeeper’s discretion. All free kicks’; the opposing team must be 5 yards away from the ball U7 – U10. U11 – U14 the opposing team must be 10 yards away from the ball Back pass rule applies to all age groups (Ball cannot be passed back to the keeper and handled).

Home team on fixture list to provide match ball   Substitutions allowed: ➢ Roll on, roll off substitutions to be made, with the Referee’s permission. Home team’s responsibility to report results to registration table.

NO DOGS, SMOKING, ALCOHOL OR BBQs ARE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES.

The following rules will decide which team goes forward to the Quarter or Semi Finals:

  1. Most points gained
  2. Goal difference
  3. Most goals scored for
  4. Least goals scored against
  5. The winner of the qualifying game played between the two teams in question will qualify (if applicable)
  6. If still level, a penalty competition will come into force Criteria for, and teams qualifying from group stage will be available from control tent.

 

Ball Sizes

  • Under 7 – 9 – Size 3 Ball
  • Under 10 – 14 – Size 4 Ball

 

All age groups: 3 minutes each way extra time in the knockout stages. No Golden goal, if match still level, penalties will decide, followed by sudden death. Only players on the pitch at the end of extra time to take penalties in the shoot-out.

Any player booked (yellow card) will miss the next game. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the team being disqualified.

Any player sent off will NOT play again in this tournament. All red cards and misconduct will be reported to the relevant County FA as per FA Rules. All bookings and sending offs will be reported by the Referee to the control tent. The Control tent officials will enforce the ban.

Foul and abusive language and/or violence will not be tolerated. Foul and abusive language and/or violence from spectators and other club officials towards players and/or officials will result in your team being disqualified.

Should any team pull-out of the competition all previous games will be null and void.

There will be no refunds to monies paid, because of adverse weather.

Players can only play for the team they are registered with – any team found guilty of playing the same player for more than one team will automatically be disqualified.

Please put your team name and age as the reference on the back of the cheque.

 

Please note all entries are non-refundable, in all circumstances. In the event of extreme weather conditions and the tournament being abandoned, no monies can be refunded.
