Tournament season is in full swing and yesterday our u10 Hurricanes took part in the 21st All Stars Tournament
The team produced an excellent performance throughout the day and were a credit to the club.
🧤 Our goalkeeper was outstanding, making a number of top‑class saves to keep us in games.
💪 The defence was strong, quick and very well organised, limiting the opposition to very few chances.
⚙️ The midfield worked extremely hard, controlled play well and linked defence and attack superbly.
⚽ The forwards were sharp and took their opportunities very effectively.
We progressed through the group stage and reached the semi‑final. We held the lead until just 45 seconds from the end of normal time when the opponents equalised. Following a close contest, the match was decided by penalty kicks and unfortunately we were just edged out.
Every player gave their all and played some excellent football. We are extremely proud of the whole squad. Well done lads.

Middleton rangers under 8s attended Middlesbrough town hall on Friday evening for the TJFA awards night.
The boys were all very excited to be surrounded by the other regional winners but waited patiently for the night to start showing professionalism beyond their years.
As the compère got to the Morocco league, the parents did a great job of cheering the boys (& coaches) onto the stage who followed the on-stage instructions to a tee.
Although the ensuing celebrations of lifting the trophy were brief, the elation was palpable!
The boys all had the opportunity off-stage to get photos with the trophy in what was a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all involved.

+1
Washington 2-1 MR Hawks
A good game Tue night up in Washington with the Hawks going in at the break 0-1 up after a great ball through from Jasper H for Deacan W to finish. Our defence was fantastic throughout.
Second half and Washington came out with intent but our defence was again strong for most of the 2nd half. But Washington kept on trying and managed to get themselves level. The lads kept their heads and played some good football, as both teams did.
We suffered a sucker punch as a cross some how managed to find the back of the net giving washington the lead at 2-1. Still the boys kept trying and continued to create chances with Deacan narrowly putting a cross just over the bar, and an effort from Ethan C crashing one off the bar. The lads kept pushing for an equaliser, which they more than deserved but it finished 2-1.
A great game of football with both teams playing some good football throughout, a great advert for grassroots football. Well done lads 👏🏻

Rokerites 3-1 MR Hawks
With half the team away at Wembley to watch boro we were left with only 8 players no keepers most of the defence missing, but still those that were here wanted to play and give it a go.
So we went and those that represented the team did absolutely amazing! Great effort and energy all throughout. We started brightly moving the ball well but with the overload from the extra players it was tough and Sunderland went in 2-0 up at half time.
Henry J , who filled the void in goal, pulled off a string of saves and communicated effectively and showed good distribution.
Second half and the lads stepped up their efforts even more! They controlled the remainder of the game and applied unreal pressure and we had them rattled. Ethan C fired a shot in the top left corner after Deacan cut a pass back to him from the right side of the box.
From then on there was only one team in it we created plenty of chances and came really close to drawing level. But with minutes to spare Sunderland got a 3rd and thats where the game ended.
An absolute monumental effort by the 8 boys. So proud to watch them work for each other. They really did leave everything on the pitch.
We go to Washington Tuesday night for the penultimate game of the season to secure 2nd place. UTH ⚽️🧡🖤

Shotton Colts 1-4 MR Hawks u13s
Hawks get back to winning ways with a good solid away performance and another step closer to promotion.
First half was somewhat scrappy with the lads forcing the play at times and just needed to settle down which led to a goalless first half.
The second half was a lot better as the lads started playing through the thirds and switching the play to utilise the space out wide.
With this came success in front of goal and the lads raced away to a 0-4 lead with goals from Deacan, Ethan and Simeon.
