Victorious in
the TATA Steel McKinlay Cup 2011

Middleton Rangers
U11 Girls progressed to the final of the League Cup,
beating California Ladies in a closely contested
tie. With the score 0-0 after full time, even extra
time could not produce a goal and the game went
tensely to penalties. Becky Potter, Isabella
Saunderson-Darkes and Lauren Traynor all scored from
the spot, leaving the scores level at 3-3 after 5
penalties. Having saved 2 spot kicks, penalty saver
supreme, Sarah Clifford saved the first sudden death
penalty and then calmly stepped up to score and win
the tie. All the girls played extremely well; girl
of the match was Isabella Saunderson-Darkes.
