reports 2009 - 2010
Fishburn Park 2 - 1 Middleton Rangers 15(B)
With another trek to Whitby against Fishburn Park
the home side must of thought easy game as we were
beaten in the league cup 6-0 by Fishburn but Rangers
had other ideas and from the off caused the home
side problems within 10 Min's Rangers went ahead
from a free kick that was all of 35 yards Sam Noble
with his 11th goal the home side levelled things
after 30 Min's half time 1-1. The second half
started good for Rangers but committed suicide in
midfield with Fishburns No 7 scoring a stunning
volley from 35 yards, from then on it was all
Rangers. The game ended 2-1 to Fishburn Park but a
draw would of been a fair result. Man of the Match
goes tothe whole squad.
Guisborough Town 4 Middleton Rangers U15B 4
Rangers travelled to Guisborough Town for an 8 goal
thriller with Rangers drawing first blood with
great work from J Anderson on the left to set Sam
Noble up with the opener. Town soon levelled things
up and then took the lead from a deflected shot.
Rangers were battling hard, hitting the cross bar
before half time and some fine goal keeping from
Towns No 1, half time 2-1. Rangers came out from the
break and big Sam was on score sheet again with his
2nd goal. The game was end to end, then
Town went on to make it 3-2 before Sam scored again
with his 4th hatrick of the season well done Sam.
Town soon took the lead from a good through ball to
make the game 4-3 with only one sub to bring on,
Swan was replaced by Crossen who soon made his mark
with a stunner from 20 yards out to make the final
score a fair result. Final score 4-4
Man of the Match Danny Stevens, Big JJ in goal was
outstanding making some fine saves well done to all
parents for your support thank you.
Middleton Rangers U15 B 4 Coulby Newham B 1
A new look Coulby team presented a sterner test than
last time round. A characteristic surging run from
left back found Alex Carter in the box to open
Middleton's account. Coulby fairly quickly replied
but before half time Sam Noble turned and shot from
the edge of the box. It has to be said the shot was
not the most powerful but the unfortunate keeper
spilled it into his own net. In the second half
Middleton hit the woodwork no less than 5 times.
Noble continued his scoring run completing yet
another hat-trick. Carter was indefatigable and man
of the match.
