Under 15 A Match Reports 2009-2010
Middleton Rangers Under 15 'A' team began their
league season with a Home game against new league
team Fishburn Park hoping to continue their unbeaten
start to the season
following their friendly fixtures.
With no less than 6 new players making their debuts
a settling in period was expected to be needed but
unfortunately Fishburn had other ideas and in the
first 15 minutes fired in 6 goals without reply.
With the new players gradually finding their feet
Rangers took great heart from the game as they held
their physical opponents for the rest of the 65
minutes of the game and Max Oughton almost scored a
couple of goals that his workrate deserved.
Josh Fraser, Dylan Bradford & Liam Donald were
outstanding at the back for Rangers with Josh
getting the man of the match award.
Team: Bradford, Alsop, Fraser, Donald, Richardson,
Paylor,
Podmore, Cuthbert, Watson, Oughton, Larkin,
Goodfellow,
Bass, Owen & Petrusow.
Middleton Rangers U15's made life hard for
themselves by starting slowly, this week at home
against a New Marske side two leagues higher.
Opening exchanges where both sides created chances
resulted in the visitors taking a two goal lead
after 15 minutes. This score remained until half
time, then buoyed by motivational coach Stewart's
strong, wise words Rangers came out a different team
and soon pulled a goal back through Kyle Hacking.
More chances were created and missed and Marske
extended their lead before on his full debut James
Owen thundered home a terrific goal of the game from
fully 35 yards. Final score
New Marske 4 Rangers 2.
Middleton U15A;
This week played Darlington Sparks at home.
Middleton came to this match with confidence from
going close to top half Guisborough last game. They
built on that confidence and notched up there first
win this season. 'Sparks' tried to put a stop to the
'Middleton' onslaught. Unfortunately for them
Middleton were to strong and finished 3:1
winners. This weekends match will prove a little
more difficult playing our sister team table topping
Middleton B.
