Rangers U13s V TIBS B U13s
Middleton Rangers u13 had a tough start to life in
the third division against Tibbs b. Rangers took the
lead early on when Danny Kay followed up a Jack
Copper shot which had bounced back off the crossbar,
but Tibbs quickly equalised. Rangers were playing
some nice football but without the finishing cutting
edge but it was Tibbs who took the lead before half
time. The second half again saw Rangers start
brightly but Tibbs went further ahead when
speculative long ball deceived the Rangers keeper.
Rangers kept on battling but as in the first half
they failed to convert their chances and it was no
surprise when Tibbs broke away scored a fourth.
Final score 1-4. Rangers Man of the Match was Kyle
Lakin who battled hard from start to finish.

Nunthorpe U13s V
Middleton Rangers U13s
Rangers took on
1st Division opposition in the form of Nunthorpe for
a 1st round league cup tie but it was not to be
their day. An uncharacteristically below par
performance meant that the game got away from them.
On the positive side, Tyler Wilson and Rhys King got
on the scoresheet, while Tom Snowdon picked up the
Man of the Match award. The boys will be working
very hard in training to turn things around and we
look forward to a better showing in the Challenge
Cup.

on top. Jake Charlton got one back from the penalty
spot before Will Bickerton got a second. Rangers
continued to press and Ross Hamilton got Rangers
third before Will Bickerton scored a fourth. The
game was now on a knife edge as Rangers pushed for

a Rhys King shot was followed up by Jack Cooper to

impressive 3-2 victory in the Challenge cup. The
game was played at a fast pace with both teams
trying to play good football. Rangers were first

headed in by man of the match Kyle Lakin, but
Tibbs equalised before Jack Cooper broke clear

they got a second equaliser. This spurred
Rangers on a superb Ross Hamilton shot came
crashing back off the woodwork before Jack

victory. Other notable performances for Rangers
were centre backs Rhys King and Will Bickerton
and central midfielders Jake Charlton and Tom
Snowden.

Middleton
Rangers u 13 played away at Normanby and played
some of their best football of the season in the
first half .Rangers quick passing football meant
that they were camped in the Normanby half and
were unlucky on numerous occasions not to take
the lead. The Normanby defence was finally
broken when man of the match Jake Charlton
weaved his way through to score in the bottom
corner. Kane Gamble then headed in superbly to
put Rangers two up at the break. The second half
saw further goals from Tom Snowden and Jack
Cooper to put Rangers four up. Normanby scored
what we thought was a consolation goal with ten
minutes to go but two long punts up the field
resulted in a further two goals for Normanby to
make the score 4-3 in what was a game that
Rangers should have won more convincingly.

was a clash of the top two in the table. Rangers
started the better of the two teams and a number of
good saves by the Skelton keeper kept Rangers at
bay. Rangers finally broke the deadlock when a long
range effort from man of the match Tom Snowden
appeared to have crossed the line before the alert
Tyler Wilson followed up to make sure. The second
half started with Skelton coming more into the game
and a long range screamer from their centre forward
gave Rangers keeper Matty Ellis no chance and the
scores were level. Both teams went for the winner
with Rangers Will Bickerton and Ross Hamilton

performance of the season going down 2-0 .Rangers
failed to capitalise on playing with a strong wind
in their favour in the first half and Coulby made
them pay when they went in front from a well taken
free kick. Rangers with only the bare eleven players
switched players into different positions in the
second half but failed to break down a well
organised defence and it was no surprise when Coulby
doubled their lead. Goalkeeper Matty Ellis made
three fine saves to keep the score down and Tom

3-2 in a tight competitive game. The game started
with Rangers going in front in the first couple of
minutes when Jake Charlton headed in a Will
Bickerton corner. Rangers continued to press and

the left and cut in and hit an unstoppable shot past
the keeper. Stockton were now starting to get back
in the match and were taking control of the midfield
area and they were rewarded when they pulled a goal
back before the break. Stockton equalised when
hesitancy in the Rangers defence allowed a Stockton
player to go through unchallenged. Rangers then
stepped up a gear and a Kane Gamble shot was parried
by the keeper and Danny Kay followed up to score the
winning goal. Rangers keeper Matty Ellis made a fine
block near the end as Stockton pushed forward and

Jack Cooper finishing to put Rangers back in front.

u13 played away at league leaders Tibbs B and came
away with a fantastic 5-0 win. Rangers didn't let
Tibbs get their foot on the ball and closed them
down at every opportunity and it was no surprise
when a Kane Gamble through ball was well finished by
the running on Tom Snowden. Rangers were then
awarded a penalty which Rhys King duly converted and
scored a third when Kane Gamble blocked a clearance
and then hit a screamer in the top corner. Rangers
were now playing some excellent football and Jake
Charlton thought he had scored when a 35 yard
screamer hit the underside of the bar and came back
out. Matty Ellis in the Rangers goal made a brave
save when a Tibbs attacker broke through, but it was
no surprise when man of the match Ross Hamilton went
through and beat the keeper from the edge of the box
to give Rangers a 4-0 half time lead. Rangers
contained Tibbs well in the second half and Ross
Hamilton again ran on to a through ball to score the
